<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Th<span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">e answer to this question is emphatically <em><strong>YES</strong></em>, and there are many techniques and approaches you can utilize to lose weight after pregnancy without collapsing from shear exhaustion.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><strong>Make Time for You</strong></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">As nice as it sounds to &#8220;make time for you&#8221;, we all know this is much easier said than done.  But then again, you also know that you need to take care of yourself so that you will have enough of &#8220;you&#8221; left to take care of the house, your husband, and everything else.  You might be finding it tough to even find an hour per day for exercise activities.  You may want to try getting your spouse, friend or relative to watch over the baby while you do some quick workouts.  In fact, many health clubs and fitness centers offer baby care these days, just for this reason.  If this option does not work for you for whatever reason, you can time your quick workouts to happen at the same time as the baby&#8217;s naps.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Do not be concerned with not having a full hour to workout.  So whether your time to exercise is 1 hour or 4 different times of 15 minutes each, the thing that is important is the total time spent working out, and being disciplined enough to take action and do it.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><strong>Eat Nutritious Foods</strong></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">But if you are not into joining together with other new moms or cannot find them in your area, you can also do one on one time with your newborn by going on long walks while you push them in the stroller.  So that this does not get tedious for you, vary the routes of your walks; for example, go around the local area one time, maybe at the zoo another day, in the park another day, etc.  As they get older, they might also enjoy some time at a playground in a local park.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">You can start to feel exhausted quickly with the added stress that a new baby brings to your household.  One of the things you should do is that at least one or two times a week, have your spouse or a good friend respond to the baby&#8217;s cries so that you can get at least 8-10 hours of continuous sleep.  If you need to, don&#8217;t be afraid to use ear plugs.  This high level of quality of your sleep time can make an amazing difference in your mental attitude about everything.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Breastfeeding moms might have to wait a little longer before adequate sleep becomes a regular part of life. Just catch naps when you can, and remember that, someday soon, your baby (and you) will be sleeping through the night.</span></span></p>

<p>What those movie star moms are not telling you, however, is that mot of them have a virtual army of people, including private chefs, personal trainers, nannies and everything else to get them back to looking at stunning as ever after their pregnancy so they can look as good as their fans expect them to.</p>
<p>But you are a normal mom without those endless resources at a snap of your fingers, so what are you supposed to do?Â  There are many things you can do to lose that pregnancy weight in ways that are both healthy as well as sustainable over the long term, which is the only smart way to do it.Â  Here are some tips to get you started:</p>
<p><strong>Call for Back-up</strong></p>
<p>New moms usually have very little time to themselves, or what is known as private time.Â  If your goal is to lose your pregnancy weight, you will need to allocate time in your hectic schedule to accommodate things like grocery shopping and exercise.Â  Family and friends can help you in this regard, and I am sure that they would be more than happy to help if you ask them.</p>
<p>For heaven&#8217;s sake, do not attempt to do everything by yourself!Â  You are good but you never got the Superwoman cape so don&#8217;t feel obligated to play that role.Â  Give your grocery list to your spouse and allow your spouse to help create some of the time you need to exercise.Â  Ask your mother or a friend to watch the baby for an hour or so while you work on some exercise workouts.</p>
<p>Keep in mind that in this day and age, many fitness centers and health clubs provide a babysitting service, either for free or at minimal cost.Â  Check it out to make sure you are comfortable with it and comfortable with leaving your baby there while you do your routines, but make use of those resources!</p>
<p><strong>Nourish Your Body</strong></p>
<p>Although the temptation may be there, do not allow yourself to binge on junk foods.Â  Although pregnancy is tough on your body, you can use your knowledge of how your body works to your advantage, and one great way to do that is to speed up your recovery by eating several smaller and balanced meals each day.Â  Your calorie intake should be coming from lean proteins, green vegetables, fruits that are high in fiber, dairy products, and whole grains.</p>
<p>One thing to be aware of is that if you are breast feeding, you will need more calories than what might be considered normal for the purpose of keeping both you and the baby healthy.Â  Always remember to drink plenty of water too.Â  New mothers should plan to drink 64 to 128 ounces of water each day, especially during the nursing time period.</p>
<p><strong>Get Moving</strong></p>
<p>Yes, having a new baby in the house can be tiring, and you may find that on some days it takes a lot of energy just to get out of bed.Â  But one of your goals is to stay healthy, and cardio exercise is one of the best things you can do for yourself. as well as helping you lose pregnancy fat as fast as possible.Â  But you do not need to commit to a regular gym or health club workout; rather, you could work in th yard or garden while the baby naps, perhaps in a shady spot, or even go for a long walk while brisking pushing the baby in a stroller.Â  The key is to do SOMETHING and keep moving!</p>

<p><strong>Stay Energized</strong></p>
<p>It may seem impossible looking at having a newborn in the house, but it really is important to get enough sleep each night.Â  To do this, you can also get help from others, or by catching small naps during the day to keep your energy levels up.Â  The best bet is to try to sleep when the baby sleeps which will help you to maximize your rest periods.</p>
<p>To be able to function at our best, both mentally and physically, we all need adequate amounts of sleep.Â  You might already know this, but after a few days of just 1-2 hours of sleep deficit per night has the very real ability to cause problems such as lack of focus, a comprised immune system, and delayed periods for healing.Â  Although most people do not get enough sleep, this is particularly true for new moms, who are the people who need the high levels of energy and focus the most! But being aware of the potential problems will help you be aware of them and avoid them!</p>

Many people are looking for the &#8220;fast fix&#8221;.  The problem is that the &#8220;fast fix&#8221; does not exist.Â  Oh sure, you saw on TV that a fast fix to lose weight worked for a dozen different movie stars and they look all gorgeous and shapely now, compared to what they supposedly looked like only a week ago.  But you know what? Those movie stars are bound by the same laws of physics and our bodies that you an I are, and I can guarantee that they are not going to be able to keep that weight off for long, at least not without sticking with that fad diet for the rest of their lives, or becoming addicted to those drugstore pills through the end of time.  At the time they finally give up on those, the weight they &#8220;lost&#8221; is going to come back, and it will be back in spades.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">There is not a healthy &#8220;fast fix&#8221; to drop some pounds.Â  You did not put on the extra pounds overnight and they are not going to come off overnight.Â  If you find a way to do that, I guarantee that it is not healthy for you and is going to cause problems elsewhere. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">What I am advocating instead is the <span style="text-decoration: underline;">HEALTHY</span> approach to <span style="text-decoration: underline;">EFFECTIVE</span> and <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">PERMANENT</span></strong> weight loss.  You need to understand that your body is like the engine of a finely tuned sports car. If you put cheap gas in that engine and never change the oil, do you think that sports car is going to operate at peak efficiency?  Of course not!  You need to understand what you eat and what it does to your body.  What parts of your body are impacted by what you eat, when you eat it, and that applies to what you drink as well.  There are many foods and drinks that actually help your body to burn fat instead of making more fat.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">I am not suggesting that you go on a &#8220;rabbit food&#8221; diet either, because at the end of it, that is not a healthy approach either.Â  Your body needs the proteins as a basic element of health and to function properly.</span></span></p>
